A Hybrid Broker platform for an increasingly regulated freight and commodity derivatives market.

The OTC freight and commodity derivatives markets are changing. In the next 18 months, regulation will begin to require greater oversight and transparency for traders in these markets.

FIS is taking a proactive and responsible position to assist customers in the evolution of the market by providing them with the tools they need to trade during this transition.

To do this FIS has adopted the ‘SEF in a box' service recently launched by the Cleartrade Exchange and Baymarkets to create a ‘private market' of liquidity to operate between FIS brokers and their principal accounts.

The new FIS Screen allows us to offer clients the ability to join screen trading in a matter of hours. FIS will offer best execution by representing clients on the phone and on screen while taking advantage of The Cleartrade Exchange's market-leading infrastructure.

FIS clients will access one screen and get the benefits of both the FIS market and the regulated Cleartrade Exchange market.

The FIS platform is connected to The Cleartrade Exchange via ‘Direct Market Access' (DMA) which allows for bids and offers to flow between the two markets, subject to rules and agreements with FIS customers.

All trades executed on either platform are processed electronically to clearing houses.

The FIS Screen is available free of charge to FIS clients, who can sign up to gain access by clicking below and filling in a simple on-line form, a process that should take no more than a few minutes.
